And as if an impending apocalypse weren't bad enough, canny birdkid Angel makes a dire prophecy about Max's soul mate: Fang will be the first to die. Max's desperate desire to protect Fang brings the two closer than ever. But can the team weather the storm, or will the turmoil rip them apart for the last time?

MY THOUGHTS: You may notice the 1 star rating below under the ending category. No, this is not a mistake, I gave the ending to this book a one star rating, because of my disappointment in this ending. Mr. Patterson you are a cunning little poop bag, and I am extremely disappointed in you. After all you've put me through...?

Rant over.

I can't tell you what happened of course, because that would be spoilery, but what I can tell you is that something terrible happens. I had to go cry in a corner for a few minutes because of it.

Anyway...the characters-as usual-are spot on...and Patterson added another bird kid. I thought this would be all hunky-dori BUT it wasn't! This new bird kid, with the cool hair, had A LOT to do with that horrid ending. Patterson, if you try to pair up him and Max, I'm gonna...go cry in a corner again.

Of course I will be reading the next one, because how could I not with that ending? I'm crossing my fingers that that whole ending was just some HUGE mistake that didn't get edited out, or something.
Plot was amazing as usual, along with the writing. That ending though...just kicked it down to a four star-er. What a shame...

Quote: "You're lying through your fangs," Iggy accused. Fang tried to play innocent--but "innocent Fang" is and oxymoron, so it didn't work."

First Sentence: "I'm a girl of extremes."

Other books in this series: The Angel Experiment, School's Out-Forever, Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, The Final Warning, Max, and Angel

Other books by this author: Alex Cross Series, Women's Murder Club Series, Witch and Wizard, The Gift, and many more.

AND I NOW RULE THIS BOOK AS A...Count of YA!
